Thanks guys, Will keep you all informed of how it goes down. LTPL - we definitely 'will' have lots to talk about. I'm almost sure there are many like this guy. So many JW's are now disobediently listening to apostates online via social media these days.

Hi All, I've been away from the forum for many months, perhaps 9mths? Well if you were around back then you might remember the title of this post in reference to happening upon two brothers on separate occasions and their reactions to me being 'not what I expected of JW's. Something unexpected happened a few days ago.
Just over a week ago I started posting videos on YouTube explaining my exit from WT (what pushed me over the edge to start making videos was the content of the recent district assembly i.e. increased focus on shunning; Having processed the pain of losing some really good friends and members of my family, I then hear about this major push towards increased shunning and it was the tipping point for me).
I awoke Sunday morning and was reading comments made on one of the videos, and one of them was by this guy telling me that we used to be in the same congregation years ago and he met me on the road somewhere in London about a year ago and we chatted. My mind was 'fogged' at first but then I remembered who he was, he was the 'brother' who was the pizza delivery guy who stopped his motorbike and chatted to me and said he didn't care that I was DF'd but that he was speaking to me as a friend.
Well, it turns out he's out of the truth now, but the plot thickens; back then I remember him mentioning the Australian Commission, and I was thinking he might be having doubts, but I didn't want to push anything on him. But guess what? What I didn't know was that he was actually out of the organization already, and ironically, he was trying to feel me out, he knew I was DF'd but didn't know if I was still under WT control, so he didn't want to say anything out of line to drive me away.
He explained this to me in our back and forth emails in the last few days. We're actually meeting up next week. So after all that, he wasn't a 'disobedient compassionate brother', he wasn't a brother at all. How odd that it took a platform like YouTube for us to connect again.

What are the biggest holes in evolution?
by shadow inhow honest are the proponents of evolution?
idk but curious to see what type of response there is on a topic like this or does their study only seek to confirm their preconceptions and ignore uncomfortable facts?

Of course, all this arguing could be instantly resolved if the big guy in the sky just picked up his gigantic cosmic megaphone, switched it on and shouted:
"hey, humans, over here, here I am, the one you've been searching for since forever, stop arguing already, I'm GOD, now quit bickering and get on with your damn lives'...."
Yeah, all the mountains of the earth would probably shake, but then there would be no mistaking... of course he'd have 'a lot' of questions to answer to....

The Irrational Psychopath Landlord
by The Marvster inwell after a few years of lots thinking, questioning everything, and deconstructing of jw logic, i keep coming up against some problems.
though i probably consider myself an agnostic nowadays, one of the conclusions i keep coming back to is, if there is a god, looking at the way nature is structured, for example the predator-prey system that is indispensible to the survival of organisms, he is unlikely to be the same loving guy that's described in the bible (could he not have come up with a more compassionate system of survival in his limitless intelligence).
then again sometimes the actions described in the bible make him look like the description in the title of this thread... jw's definitely didn't help much with their logic.

Wow.... I thought 'my' feelings about the big evil deity in the sky were harsh, but OMG, some of you guys are on a whole different level... it's comforting, I hope to be as free as you all are one day...
bit by bit, i've been getting my feet wet, learning about some of the fascinating features of past and present life on earth, the natural world. The more I learn the more I have to ask, 'how can anyone who believes in god after learning this stuff 'not question' the idea that an all loving, all intelligent being did this work'.... the facts about nature are so overwhelming and damning if you try to put a god in the equation, he comes out as a cruel bastard that 'f**ks' with his creation just for the fun of it, a kind of Dr Frankenstein, experimenting with evil ideas and coming up with how he can creat oranisms with the maximum amount of suffering..... my beliefs have been shattered just looking at nature...

Well after a few years of lots thinking, questioning everything, and deconstructing of JW logic, I keep coming up against some problems. Do you remember that oft recited illustration about the landlord evicting bad tenants... here's an example:
Fulfillment: Having disposed of false religion, God will turn his attention to other organizations—political and commercial—as well as to wicked people. (Proverbs 2:22; Revelation 19:17, 18) Like a landlord who evicts destructive tenants, God will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” He will destroy those who fill it with violence and sexually degrading practices.—Revelation 11:18; Romans 1:18, 26-29. Awake November 2012 (the bible - a book of accurate prophecy- part 7 "the end will come")
I was thinking about that illustration this evening, well, it seems reasonable right?, BUT, then I got to thinking, 'how did that Landlord behave during Noah's day?'
If you think about it, what supposedly happened in Noah's day would be tantamount to a Landlord making the 'good' tenants leave temporarily, and then (let's use fire as an example), burning the house down, with the bad tenants still in the house, Killing them, along with their children, any new born babies, the two dogs, the cat, the hamster, the gerbil, the Parrot, the gold fish, the plants, and destroying all the interior design and furnishings, all of that destruction just to get rid of a few wayward tenants.
Aside from the insane kiling spree, the bloody problem with this is, the furnishings, the TV, computer, fridge, oven, beds, wardrobes, central heating system, boiler, electrical cables, water pipes, crockery, cutlery, Table and chairs, arm chairs carpets, plants, pets, etc etc, ALL BELONG TO THE LANDLORD.... and he destroys it all, all his own stuff, because of some undesireable tenants....Now if a human acted this way, you might immediately think 'PSYCHOPATH'...
But that cannot be said of an all-wise creator, my only conclusion is, if there really is a god who is all wise and all knowing, he must at least be 50% horrifically cruel and irrational, because a human behaving this way would just be unacceptable, but a loving creator???
It is very unlikely I would be able to worship a divine being who is capable of such mind-boggling behaviour, especially since that one NEVER puts in an appearance to explain their actions, instead humans are left in the dark to try to figure things out for themselves since the divine writings cause even more confusion than human philosopy...
whichever way I look at it, either from a nature point of view, or from a biblical viewpoint, he just seems like one crazy MO' FO' (dare I say, lucifer ain't got nothing on him, no wonder the demons shudder)

after seeing the 'illustration' posted by SG098 I had to go search for the actual copy on the JWorg site because I couldn't believe that picture was real. To me that picture speaks of 'utter evil', everyone there hugging and laughing and 'being nice' to each other, while a person stands there in the corner completely alone, totally ignored. I mean, doesn't that strike you as just 'a tiny bit insensitive'?
'Look at us, we're all so loving to each other, but YOU stay there, you're not included in this', we're so loving, that's why we're ignoring you.... Apologies SG098, I actually doubted the picture, because on seeing it I thought, that sh*t cant be f***ing real, it's just too cruel, it must be a photoshop, but no, it's bloody real, I downloaded the magazine and lo and behold there's the picture... the borg has a totally twisted view of love, call it what it really is, hate, manipulation, bullying, passive aggressive control, ... the whole flipping congregation sending one 'weak' person to coventry, I'm gobsmacked... How I never saw this when I was still in, I don't know
